Power of Collaboration Campaign
a Corporate Challenge for our Community
Join us to make a difference!
Three Valleys Community Foundation hosts an annual Corporate Challenge Campaign, a special challenge designed for corporations and businesses in our region to support community causes. Our 2023 campaign launched our first grantmaking fund to target key community issues and strengthen 3VCF as a philanthropic and geographic anchor. In 2023, $144,200 was awarded to 13 deserving local nonprofits in support of mental health and wellness. Thanks to generous lead gifts by John Muir Health, Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley, and PG&E, 3VCF expanded our competitive grantmaking focus in 2024 to include health equity and overall wellness, with an additional focus on environmental health and sustainability. More than $125,000 was granted to 11 local nonprofits.
Now in our 3rd year of the Corporate Challenge, Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley once again has stepped up as a lead health care contributor and PG&E, Cal Water, and Jean King have followed suit, challenging other regional corporations and donors to join them in supporting 3VCF’s Community Health Impact Grants to local nonprofits.

Join 3VCF to bring the collaborative power of our local corporations together to support community causes and local needs. With every gift received, 3VCF will set aside 50 percent for the Power of Collaboration Campaign – with grantmaking designed to address some of the most compelling and complex issues in our area. The Power of Collaboration Campaign focuses on the community causes central to the vitality of our region – in 2023, mental health and wellness was our primary focus. In 2024, we continued to build upon our prior focus on mental health and overall wellness, as well as distribute funds to nonprofits working on causes related to the environment and sustainability. In 2025, we are deploying grant funds to wherever they will make the most impact in building an overall health community and region. Contributions will supplement many of the individual commitments made by local donors in our region who are interested in giving, granting, and growing our community.

Three Valleys Community Foundation seeks to maximize these opportunities – by providing thoughtful funding, informed local giving and collaborative action on the most pressing issues in our region. Our guiding principles center around trust, transparency, and a Tri-Valley focus (Alamo, Danville, Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton, San Ramon and Sunol). We believe in the power of three – and what can be accomplished when all in our Three Valleys (Amador, Livermore and San Ramon) work together – further strengthening our overall impact.

“John Muir Health is dedicated to serving our community with quality and compassion. As a health system, we understand that wellbeing is directly impacted by societal inequities, structural racism and deep systemic issues. In our grantmaking capacity and through our partnership with the Three Valleys Community Foundation, we are committed to investing in change that promotes health equity for our most under-served and under-resourced communities. As a Founding Corporate Sponsor, it is integral to continue to build upon our collective work for greatest impact.”
