Advisors

Three Valleys Community Foundation works with professional advisors to provide rewarding philanthropic options for their clients. Our philanthropic team and partners connect donors with local nonprofits and community leaders for positive impact—whether they plan to give now or into the future.

The Power of Three

Opportunities for Nonprofits, Advisors and Donors

At Three Valleys Community Foundation, advisors and donors have access to our philanthropic expertise, nonprofit connections, and strong knowledge of community issues. We support donor disbursements to certified nonprofits around the world, but our focus is to inform donors about regional issues that align with their passions and connect them with nonprofits making a difference in those areas.

We adhere to Council on Foundations national standards for transparency and efficiency in all our donor services, including adherence to the Donor Bill of Rights. Donors may view their own fund activity, make grant recommendations to credible nonprofits, and see the impact of their giving.

We support a broad range of assets and can enable Individually Managed Funds (IMFs) in which donors continue working with their trusted investment management advisor. With IMFs, advisors may retain client relationships and manage portfolios customized to their clients’ investment preferences and time horizons, with the goal of growing the assets available for their philanthropy.

As part of our shared services agreement with Community Foundation of San Joaquin, Three Valleys has access to Bank of Stockton’s Wealth Management Group – enabling donor investment in several pools:  Growth, Moderate and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance).  Charitable assets of our donors will be professionally managed to achieve a competitive rate of return, with low fees.

We also support and welcome Individually Managed Funds (IMFs) –  in which donors continue working with their trusted investment management advisor, but have access to the investment pools provided by 3VCF. With IMFs, advisors may retain client relationships and manage portfolios customized to their clients’ investment preferences and time horizons, with the goal of growing their philanthropy portfolio.

Our power of three extends to three additional areas — oversight, transparency and trust. Our Investment Committee, led by Pat O’Brien, Jerry Morgan, Nelson Fialho, Colleen Gregerson, Joe Cristiano and John Sensiba regularly review fund performance and policies. We also actively seek the advice of financial leaders in our community.
