Partners

Partnership is paramount. We are honored to collaborate with community and philanthropy innovators at the local, regional, State and national level, to make a positive impact in the Three Valleys region. Our team and partners have combined expertise, connections and strong knowledge of community issues, investment and giving options.

Our Community Foundation Partners

SAN JOAQUIN COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

As our shared services partner, SJCF provides administrative and back-office support.

SILICON VALLEY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

SVCF assists 3VCF with the acceptance of complex gifts, including real estate and cryptocurrency.

EAST BAY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

EBCF supports and collaborates with 3VCF leadership, sharing philanthropic resources and expertise.

LEAGUE OF CALIFORNIA COMMUNITY FOUNDATIONS

LCCF advocates for and helps build awareness of community foundations and their important role. 3VCF participates in The Growing Community Foundations Circle hosted by LCCF that offers networking, training, capacity building, and shared learning opportunities for emerging foundations.

COUNCIL ON FOUNDATIONS

As an active  COF member, we adhere to national community foundation accreditation path guidelines and standards for transparency and efficiency in all our donor services, including adherence to the Donor Bill of Rights. Donors may view their own fund activity, make grant recommendations to credible nonprofits, and see the impact of their giving.

Our Regional Partners

INNOVATION TRI-VALLEY

ITV‘s 2040 Vision Plan outlined the need for private philanthropy growth in the Tri-Valley region. 3VCF was the first goal realized in the 2040 plan and actively participates in the ITV Leadership Group, a cross-sector collaboration that brings together industry, research labs, educational institutions, and civic and community leaders to foster a vibrant region and shape a dynamic future.

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA GRANTMAKERS

Northern California Grantmakers is a collective that sponsors training and provides collaborative learning and networking opportunities in the philanthropic and grantmaking space.

In addition to these valued partners, we collaborate with  the East Bay Leadership Council and the Tri-Valley Nonprofit Alliance to promote philanthropic values and nonprofit connections  in our region.  We support donor disbursements to certified nonprofits around the world, but our focus is to inform donors about regional issues that align with their passions and connect them with nonprofits making a difference in those areas.

Our Finance & Investment Partners

FREMONT BANK

As our local financial partner, Fremont Bank  provides 3VCF’s banking services. Fremont Bank is known for its ongoing support of local nonprofits and charities, keeping the essence of “community” in banking.

BANK OF STOCKTON

As part of our shared services agreement with San Joaquin Community Foundation, Three Valleys has access to Bank of Stockton’s Wealth Management Group – enabling donor investments with several pool options:  Money Market, Growth, Moderate and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance).  Charitable assets of our donors are professionally managed to achieve a competitive rate of return, with low fees.

We also support and welcome Individually Managed Funds (IMFs) –  in which donors continue working with their trusted investment management advisor, but have access to the investment pools provided by 3VCF. With IMFs, advisors may retain client relationships and manage portfolios customized to their clients’ investment preferences and time horizons, with the goal of growing their philanthropy portfolio.

3VCF INVESTMENT COMMITTEE

Our power of three extends to three additional areas — oversight, transparency and trust. Our Investment Committee, led by Pat O’Brien, Nelson Fialho, Colleen Gregerson, Joe Cristiano and John Sensiba regularly review fund performance and policies.
