Golden Gate Area Council, Scouting America Distinguished Citizens Award Dinner
The Golden Gate Area Council, Scouting America will be hosting the 2025 Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner on September 17, 2025, at the scenic Nella Terra Cellars in Sunol, California. This prestigious annual event recognizes individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, service, and commitment to their community.
We are proud to recognize John Sensiba, Managing Partner of Sensiba LLP, as this year’s Distinguished Citizen honoree. With more than 30 years in public accounting, John is widely respected for his visionary leadership, community commitment, and expertise that extends far beyond his firm.

John’s impressive record includes guiding Sensiba LLP’s strategic growth, advising top Bay Area business leaders, and being a trusted voice on economic and tax matters nationwide. His contributions have earned him numerous accolades, including the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Legacy Award, Accounting Today’s Managing Partner Elite, and Pleasanton’s Man of the Year.
Equally remarkable is John’s deep dedication to community service. He has served on boards for Stanford Health Care – Valley Care, the Pleasanton Chamber of Commerce, Las Positas College Foundation, and many more. Through his professional achievements and volunteer leadership, John exemplifies the values of character, service, and citizenship that Scouting strives to instill in youth every day.
