Support Our Work

Women’s Enterprise Initiative

From 2022-2024, women-owned businesses comprised more than 76% of the membership at the Danville  Area Chamber of Commerce. Many of these women are new to the business world and are women of color.

The Chamber began its Women’s Enterprise Initiative in 2024, an educational leadership & training initiative  for women-owned businesses under the Danville Area Chamber Fund. The initiative is designed to teach  tangible skills and to promote economic vitality and community leadership. Though designed for women,  all are welcome to participate in our workshops.

On December 6th, we will host a Luncheon at Diablo Country Club, called “Share the Joy” to celebrate our  first-year graduates and talk about the continuation of the initiative in 2025. The Luncheon features an  interactive discussion on “Reinventing Yourself”, featuring the amazing Joy Ofodu.

Youth Mental Health

The Danville Area Chamber of Commerce also started a youth mental health fund as a Field of Interest Fund at 3VCF in October 2022, focused on grant-making post-pandemic. In 2023, Danville and San Ramon Valley non-profit organizations were invited to apply for funding and attracted more than $44,000, due to 3VCF focus and leadership on mental health. A portion of this funding came from direct contributions from community leaders to our field of interest fund.

Our educational outreach program in 2022-2023 was youth mental health. The Chamber and its local business & non-profit members shined a spotlight post-pandemic to help our kids, parents and caregivers.

Together with our partners, including the SRVUSD, SRVFPD, Contra Costa County, the Town of Danville and local non-profits, we conducted educational programs targeted at parents and caregivers. The focus of this programming was on teen stress and drug abuse. The programs were standing-room only, with more than 100 participants at each forum.

“Our youth are our future and we care deeply about their health and wellness.  Let’s break the silence and reinforce our commitment to youth mental health and recovery”
