Impact Grants
Thanks to our successful 2024 Power of Collaboration Campaign and the generous contributions of individual and corporate donors, Three Valleys Community Foundation is launching another round of community impact grantmaking. Our 2024 Community Health Impact Grantmaking is designed to support nonprofit organizations addressing: mental health and wellness, health equity and access, and environmental health and sustainability throughout our greater Three Valleys region.
2024 Community Health Impact Grants
Grantmaking is a cornerstone of how community foundations empower local nonprofits to carry out essential work and foster transformative change within our community. Responding to identified needs is paramount, and mental health consistently ranks as a top priority in community health needs assessments conducted by regional healthcare systems and the Eastern Alameda Community Needs Assessment. Additionally, local school districts have highlighted mental health support as a critical need.
Building on the momentum and success of our 2023 Community Impact Grantmaking, we are broadening our focus for 2024. In addition to mental health and wellness, we will emphasize other crucial aspects of Community Health, including health equity and access, as well as environmental health and sustainability.
Aligned with our core values of Collaboration and Innovation, Three Valleys Community Foundation invites grant applications that address mental health and wellness, health equity and access, or environmental health and sustainability. We encourage diverse perspectives and approaches, whether proven or promising, broad or targeted. Collaborative proposals involving two or more organizations are especially encouraged.
The application window for our 2024 Community Health Impact Grants is open from October 23, 2024 through midnight on December 17, 2024. A diverse selection committee, representing a cross-section of our Tri-Valley community, will evaluate submissions and recommend a portfolio of applicants for funding to our 3VCF Board of Directors. The selected programs will commence in March 2025.
Individual and corporate donors, and recipients of 3VCF’s Community Health Impact Grants will be announced and celebrated, along with their community causes at our upcoming State of Giving Gathering on the evening of March 13, 2025, at the beautiful Roundhouse Event Space and Conference Center in San Ramon.
“Community grantmaking is a strong priority for our organization... By channeling local resources to meet local needs, we can address some of our region's most pressing health challenges and work toward an improved overall quality of life for all.”
Kelly Bowers, Ed.D., 3VCF CEO/President
