Spring is a season of renewal, possibility, and growth. A time when fresh ideas take root, hope is renewed, and communities come together to nurture what matters most. At Three Valleys Community Foundation, our mantra to Give. Grant. Grow. continues to blossom through the generosity, compassion, and shared commitment of donors, nonprofit partners, volunteers, and community leaders working together to strengthen the place we call home. As Lady Bird Johnson once said,
“Where flowers bloom, so does hope.”
This spring, we celebrate the many ways generosity and community partnership continue to cultivate hope, nourish connection, and nurture a deeper sense of belonging throughout our Three Valleys and beyond. Together, we are planting seeds of opportunity and transformational change that will continue to grow and flourish for generations to come.

Three Valleys Community Foundation and We Are Pleasanton, in partnership with Foothill High School and Pleasanton Unified School District, recently gathered with community leaders, donors, students, and supporters to celebrate transformative improvements to the Foothill High School stadium and surrounding campus infrastructure. Made possible through nearly $250,000 in community fundraising support, the enhancements included a fully ADA-accessible pathway, improved lighting, and upgraded sound systems designed to create a safer and more inclusive experience for students, families, and visitors. The Commemorative Plaque Unveiling Ceremony on May 1 honored the generosity and partnership of more than 150 donors whose support helped bring the project to life for future generations.

In a vital step forward in the fight against the opioid crisis, Contra Costa County Behavioral Health Services has selected Three Valleys Community Foundation, through a competitive RFP process, to serve as the fiscal agent and grant administrator for Opioid Settlement Community Grants.
The partnership will support the equitable administration of $2 million in opioid settlement funding to nonprofit and community-based organizations across the county. Grants will fund efforts focused on prevention, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery, all with a goal of reducing overdose deaths and improving outcomes for individuals and families impacted by the opioid epidemic.
Over the next several months, 3VCF will launch an inclusive and accessible grant application process, informed by County-specific data and supported by outreach, technical assistance, and engagement with key community stakeholders. Eligible organizations will be encouraged to apply for funding aligned with the County’s opioid remediation framework and community priorities.
